Like exercise but for your brain! Creative Calisthenics is a multi-event series that will walk you through a creative challenge designed to flex your problem-solving, brainstorming, communication, and collaboration skills in a fun, low-pressure, social environment. These exercises are made for both seasoned creatives and those who may not identify as creative but want to explore creativity anyways.
In this first event, attendees will be put into pairs or groups to come up with an idea that solves a specific creative problem (the problem will be provided to you at the beginning of the event) using design thinking. No, you don't need to know what design thinking is to attend! I will teach you! And this method is applicable to solving problems across the board. So ideally, you can take this new way of thinking and apply it as needed to improve the quality of your life and work.
What to expect: 30 minutes of time to connect at the beginning, 1.5 hours to complete the exercise with guided prompts from the event host, time for each group to briefly present their ideas, and 1 more hour to connect at the end. All materials provided.
